channel Claude Connector

channel provides its own MCP connector for Claude. Once you connect your Google account, you can ask Claude about your channel topics, campaigns, performance, subscribers, posts, trend reports, and creators, and ask it to draft new topics, campaigns, or posts.

What is the channel Claude connector?

It's channel's MCP (Model Context Protocol) connector, letting you look up your topics, campaigns, performance, and subscribers from channel directly inside a Claude conversation.

Every tool only shows the connected user's own data — admins included, no exceptions.

How to connect

  1. In Claude, go to Settings (Customize) > Connectors.
  2. Add the channel connector.
  3. Sign in with Google. If it's the Google account tied to an existing channel account, you'll connect to that account; if it's a new Google account, a new channel account is created automatically.
  4. Review what Claude will be able to do on the consent screen, then select Allow to finish connecting.

Permissions requested

  • channel:read — read topics, campaigns, performance, and subscribers.
  • channel:draft — create topic and campaign/post drafts.
  • offline_access — stay connected without signing in again every time.

Access tokens last 1 hour and refresh tokens last 30 days, rotating on each use. Tokens are never stored in plain text — only as SHA-256 hashes.

15 tools

10 read tools and 5 draft tools. Limited to 60 tool calls per minute.

What Claude can't do

The following stay in channel's web app, where a human reviews and acts on them directly:

  • Send or schedule email campaigns
  • Publish posts
  • Delete topics, campaigns, posts, or anything else
  • Unsubscribe people

First connection creates sample data

Connecting an empty channel account for the first time automatically creates a sample workspace: one topic, one campaign draft, two post drafts, and five @example.com subscribers labeled "예시" (sample). Sample subscribers are never emailed, and it's safe to delete all of this sample data.

Data processing

  • Your Google account email and name are stored for identification.
  • Connection tokens are stored only as SHA-256 hashes, never in plain text.
  • Tool-call records (when a tool was called, which tool) are kept.
  • Access ends when you disconnect, or automatically when the refresh token expires after 30 days of inactivity.

See the privacy policy for details.

Disconnecting

  • channel web > Settings > "Claude 연결" (Claude connection) > disconnect — this revokes every token issued to Claude.
  • Or remove the channel connector from Claude.

signal Claude Connector

signal has its own MCP connector for Claude. Connect it and Claude can list your surveys, read results, draft a survey with AI, and publish it once you confirm the title.

Server URL: https://api-signal.askcuri.com/mcp (Streamable HTTP)

What the signal connector does

This is signal's MCP (Model Context Protocol) connector. In a Claude conversation you can list your teams' surveys, read a survey, read its results and report, start an AI-written draft, and publish a draft.

Claude works with the role you have in each team. It can't see anything you can't see in signal.

How to connect

In claude.ai

  1. Go to Settings > Connectors.
  2. Choose Add custom connector and paste the server URL above.
  3. Sign in to signal if asked, check the consent screen, and select Allow.

In Claude Code

claude mcp add --transport http signal https://api-signal.askcuri.com/mcp

Then run /mcp inside Claude Code, pick signal, and authenticate in the browser window that opens.

Permissions requested

  • signal:read: list surveys and read surveys, results and report PDFs.
  • signal:write: create AI drafts and publish surveys.
  • offline_access: stay connected without signing in every time.

6 tools

4 read tools and 2 write tools. Limited to 60 tool calls per minute.

Who can do what

  • Viewers can use the read tools. Editors and owners can also draft and publish.
  • Publishing needs the survey's exact title as confirmation, and it is refused while the AI draft is still being written.
  • The connector can't delete surveys, contact respondents, or see respondents' contact details.
  • Free-text answers and quotes come back with emails, phone numbers and similar details masked.

Plans

  • The read tools need the Claude connector (read) feature, and Create survey draft needs the Claude connector (draft) feature. Every plan has both, Free included.
  • Drafts follow the same limits as the web editor. On Free, a draft uses basic question types only; advanced types such as voice, AI conversation, focus groups, verified contact and concierge are left out, and the result lists what was left out with an upgrade link. Question and language caps are the same as in the web editor.
  • Publish survey needs the Claude connector (publish) feature, on Starter and up. On Free, publish from the web editor instead.
  • A draft made through the connector uses units the same way a draft made in the signal web app does. If your plan lacks a feature, the tool says so and points to the billing screen.

Example workspace

If your account has no team yet, for example a first-time sign-in that is still awaiting approval, connecting creates an isolated example team: one published sample survey with about 30 synthetic responses. No real people or customer data are involved.

  • All read tools work on the sample survey.
  • You can create at most 3 drafts a day there, and you can't publish.
  • The example team only opens the connector's tools. It doesn't give you access to the signal web app.

Data processing

  • The connector reads surveys, masked results and report PDFs from your teams and returns them to your own Claude session.
  • Drafts you ask for are created in your team; goal, audience and source text you give Claude are sent to signal to write the draft.
  • Connection tokens are stored only as hashes. Every tool call is recorded in the audit log: which tool, which survey or team, when and the result.
  • Access ends when you disconnect, or when the refresh token expires after 30 days without use.

See the privacy policy for details.

Disconnecting

  • signal web > Account > Connected apps > Disconnect all. This revokes every token issued to Claude.
  • Or remove the signal connector in Claude.
